World of Shiki
What began with “SHIKI Japanese Fine Dining | Brasserie | Bar” has since evolved into a world of its own: The World of SHIKI — with “SHIKI Omakase” and the “SHIKI Boutique | Sakethek” as its newest additions.
The World of SHIKI is driven by Joji Hattori’s vision of bringing Japanese culinary culture to Vienna in all its depth. With the new “SHIKI Omakase,” he embraces a tradition that represents one of the most characteristic expressions of Japanese sushi culture. Only eight seats form the stage on which this dining philosophy unfolds. Omakase means “I leave it up to you” and traces its origins back to the small sushi bars of Tokyo, where guests entrusted their choices to the master and allowed themselves to be guided by his intuition and the finest ingredients of the day. At “SHIKI Omakase,” this philosophy becomes tangible: two chefs dedicate themselves exclusively to this small circle of guests, completing each composition directly before their eyes — fresh, purist, and unadulterated. Guests may choose between a classic omakase menu or, upon request, a luxury version featuring selected products such as sturgeon caviar or A5 Wagyu. Together, they create an experience that sets new standards for authentic à-la-minute sushi culture.
